Arian is a Professional Engineer, working with AECOM Canada Ltd as a Mechanical Manager. Arian completed his Mechanical Engineering degree at the University of Saskatchewan in 2010. Arian has been active with the Saskatoon Engineering Society since 2019 and held the role of Director and Vice President. In his free time, Arian enjoys spending time with family, traveling to new places, playing squash, and reading. Arian is passionate about cars, and mechanical devices, and loves working on them.

Akinniyi Akinpelu MSc., P.Eng., PMP., CAMP 

Akinniyi is a Professional Engineer, and he completed his Chemical Engineering degree at the University of Lagos, Nigeria, in 2006. Akinniyi has been active with the Saskatoon Engineering Society since 2019 and held the role of Director. In his spare time, Akinniyi enjoys spending time with family, studying and playing soccer.

Sumith is a Professional Engineer, and Project Manager with SaskWater. Sumith has been active with SES since 2018. He was the President during 2021/22 fiscal year. He has been active with ASQ Saskatchewan Chapter, PMP Saskatchewan North Chapter. He has been a mentor for many engineers, especially for International Graduate Engineers.  Sumith has been awarded Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal for his exemplary service and contribution to the community.

Zygmunt Kowal, MSc. (Retired P.Eng.) 

Zygmunt is a retired Mining Engineer educated in Poland at the Mining and Metallurgy Academy in Krakow. Zygmunt has worked in a copper mine in Austria. In 1969, he immigrated to Canada and began work in the Subarctic region and then later in a Uranium mine in Saskatchewan. He has many years of mining and consulting experience working in Canada and beyond. Zygmunt has been with SES for a number of years. He is the treasurer for the past 7 years.

Travis is a Professional Engineer, working with Nutrien as an Underground Maintenance Supervisor. Travis has been with the Saskatoon Engineering Society since 2018 and held the role of Secretary.

Anil is currently working with Team Power Solution in the electrical designing department, where he is working with engineering & manufacturing projects. He has completed a master’s degree in electrical engineering.  

Anil joined SES in 2021 where he is planning to assist recent engineering graduates and working engineers with their professional development.

Rajesh is a professional engineer (mechanical) and is providing project engineering, project/construction management, and general engineering services as a freelance engineer. He is involved with volunteer services to various organizations including APEGS and SES.

Ross Welford is a Professional Engineer, working part-time as an Assistant Professor at the University of Saskatchewan teaching engineering and agriculture students.  In his time away from the University, he is part of a third and fourth generation family farming operation producing raw materials for food, feed, fuel and fibre.  He has been an active volunteer with the SES for over 12 years and enjoys learning new things whether on the farm, in the classroom or on the dance floor.

Kai is a First-year engineering student at the University of Saskatchewan. He loves meeting new people and travelling to new places. In Kai's free time he likes to read, play board games, and when it’s hot out he competes in sailing competitions.
